SnapCart

For farmers market vendors

The checkout app for your farmers market stand.

Prop one QR code next to the eggs. Shoppers scan it, tap photos of what they want and pay on their own phone, while you keep bagging. Apple Pay and cards on the shopper’s own phone, plus Venmo, PayPal, Cash App and cash.

What you get

  • A QR code instead of a card reader

Nothing to charge, pair or keep dry. Print the code or show it on your phone, and the line moves without you ringing anyone up.

  • Stock that counts down

Ten dozen eggs this morning? Each sale takes one off. When the last loaf goes, it shows sold out before anyone pays for it.

  • Cash sales in two taps

Someone hands you a twenty: tap Cash sale, tap the honey. Your count and the day’s total stay right.

  • Your market days, listed

Add where you’ll be this week. The SnapCart marketplace shows your next markets and your best sellers.

  • Preorders for pickup

Regulars can order on Friday night and pick up at the stand, so the sourdough is set aside before you sell out.

  • What sold, by day

A sales report by day, week or month shows what to bring more of next Saturday. Email it to yourself in one tap.

See it on a phone

  • A shopper’s phone on a shop page: maple syrup in three sizes, one item in the order and an Apple Pay button

Shoppers tap your products and pay on their own phone.

  • The shopper’s paid screen with the big order code K7M to show the vendor

They get a code to show you at the stand.

  • The vendor’s live order list: two paid orders to hand over and 11 maple creams left

Orders land on your phone, and stock counts down.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Snap your table

One photo of your spread and SnapCart lists each item with a picture and a price. Fix anything by hand.

  2. Step 2

    Print your QR

Your shop link and QR code are ready right away. Tape it to the tent pole or the cash box.

  3. Step 3

    Sell

Orders show a short code and what to hand over. Match the code on their screen and you’re done.

Questions

What does it cost?
The free plan takes cash, Venmo, PayPal and Cash App with no monthly fee and no SnapCart fee. Apple Pay and cards come with Silver Onion: Stripe’s processing fee plus 2%, and nothing when you don’t sell.
Do shoppers need to download an app?
No. The QR opens a web page in their camera app. They tap and pay without signing up.
What if the market has weak cell signal?
The shop page is small and loads on one bar. Shoppers use their own data, so your signal only matters for seeing orders come in.
Can I take SNAP or EBT?
Not through SnapCart. Most markets run SNAP through the market’s own token program, which works alongside SnapCart like cash does.
Can my partner run the stand too?
Yes. A shop can have several owners, and everyone sees orders on their own phone.
