How to use it

Pick what the code should open, type your handle or link, and check the preview: scan it with your own phone before you print. Print on plain letter paper, then slide it into a sheet protector or laminate it so it survives rain and dew.

Put it at eye level at the front of the table, not flat on it, so shoppers can scan from a step back. A code about 4 inches square scans easily from three feet away; this sign prints it larger than that.

The catch with payment-app codes

A Venmo or Cash App code sends money, but it doesn’t say what it was for. At a busy table you get “$18 from Alex” and have to remember which jar it was. Venmo and Cash App also ask that sales go to a business profile.

A shop link fixes both. Point the sign at a SnapCart shop and shoppers see your products with photos and prices, tap what they want and pay, so every payment arrives with its items and the stock counts down.

Questions

Is this QR code sign maker free?
Yes. There’s no sign-up and nothing is stored: the code is made in your browser and printed from it.
Will the QR code expire?
No. It holds your link directly, with no redirect service in between, so it works as long as your handle or link does.
How big should a payment QR code be?
At least 2 inches square to scan from arm’s length, and 4 inches or more for a table sign read from a step back.
